These systems know where you are and they compare your position with a built in database and warn you of an impending hazard. GPS systems can be updated via the internet, some for free, some charge a monthly or yearly fee.

Vehicle Profiling - What is it?
The vehicle profile feature is unique. The feature adjusts the speed limit of the speed cameras dependent on the type of vehicle being driven. For instance towing cars are only allowed to travel at 60 MPH on the motorway! Not a lot of drivers are aware of this fact and could end up with a speeding ticket! The Novus Alpha would set all of the speed cameras contained in the database on Motorways at 60 MPH in this example automatically without having to re-connect the Alpha to the internet.
The use of OLED technology overcomes a number of issues associated with operation in bright sunlight! The unique fully functional remote IR control allows full flexible control for the user enabling users to de-select features such as possible mobile sites.
